Saint Luka Lugansk State Medical University (Russian: Луганский государственный медицинский университет имени Святителя Луки) is a higher education institution located in Lugansk, a city in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR). Named after Saint Luka (Vladimir Voino-Yasenetsky), a renowned surgeon, bishop, and saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church, the university is dedicated to medical education, research, and healthcare advancement. Strategically University  organised with scientific research and clinical methodologies for Higher Professional Educations like Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Doctor of Medicine, Clinical Rotation-ship, Therapeutical & Surgical Post Graduates, Doctorate and also Nursing. History
Established in 1956 in southern part of USSR. The university traces its origins to the establishment of a medical institute in Lugansk during the Soviet era. Over the decades, it evolved into a prominent institution for medical education in the region. In recognition of the contributions of Saint Luka, a pioneer in both medicine and theology, the university was renamed in his honor. Saint Luka, known for
his work in anesthesiology and his unwavering aith, serves as a symbol of the institution's commitment to both scientific excellence and humanitarian values. Prior to being granted university status in 1994, it was known as Voroshilovgrad State Medical Institute (Ворошиловградский Государственный Медицинский Институт). The institute started providing postgraduate training in 1979 and started teaching pediatrics to international students in 1983. In addition to operating several clinics in Lugansk's numerous medical facilities, the university contains in-campus research centres, modular pharmacy, polyclinic clinic & 2 store-library.

Saint Luka

Valentin Felixovich Great blessed Russian surgeon, who also known as Luke Voyno-Yasenetsky. in 1910–1920's Saint Luka published books on gastro-surgery and operated many neurosurgery, orthopedics. His Essays of purulent surgery is still very useful in medical studies.

Anatomy museum

Lugansk State Medical University Anatomy museum situated in center part of the campus, where human organs, bones and other parts of human body used for dissection by students. Anatomy classes and lectures will be conducted here with cadavers. Under ground floor of the museum is for cadavers.

Simulation Centre

The creation of the "Accreditation and Simulation Training Centre" with contemporary phantoms 
(simulators) was related to the university's accreditation. Medical students can avoid making medical errors on a live patient by incorporating simulation technologies into their practical training. By repeatedly performing the same activities, phantoms and simulators enable the automatic fulfillment of skills. Rare clinical cases can be modeled using contemporary virtual robot simulators.
